Harvest Season

Grape harvest 2013
It has been about three weeks since we have had a chance to add to this blog 🙁    However there is a 🙂 that will follow as we are in the middle of harvest and happy to do it. As I write this blog tonight, looking down at my purple hands, I am very excited about the next vintage. This year was a mixed bag of weather, but the ripening season has been very good and we are harvesting a good vintage. We are done with our La Crescent and are very excited how it has turned out, during fermentation it displayed its apricot character as well as some slightly tropical tones, now it will go though secondary MLF which will add a deeper complexity. Do any of your oenophiles out their know what MLF is, comment below.

We have also harvested some of our Frontenac which will be our next vintage of port. We will be releasing our latest port vintage, which is 100% Staller Wine right down to the brandy that was used to fortify it. This port has turned out to be an excellent vintage and we look forward to the much anticipated release. Stay tuned. If you want to know when we have new releases and events, join our mailing list.
It is easy and we always keep your information private.
Thank you for your wine passion!!
