In the Vineyard

We have been enjoying the serenity that the vineyard has to offer as we enter into the fall season.  This past month we hosted Violins & the Vineyard, so people could sit and enjoy the last few weeks of warm weather while listening to an orchestra and sipping wine.  Our grape vines were harvested on September 1, 2012 and will now stay dormant until May, when they will bud and we will start pruning again.  Pictures of harvest day can be found on our Facebook page.  Keep in mind that we have a heated gazebo to come relax in and watch the interesting progression that the grapevines make throughout the year.

In the Winery

September is always the busiest month of wine making for us, so this past month we spent a ton of time in our wine-making facility, pictured above.  Thousands of pounds of grapes have to be crushed, destemmed, and pressed out each season.  It takes an amazing amount of coordination to accomplish such a task, but we have fun doing it!  As we enter into October, we’ve got port on the brain.  Our White Port is next to be bottled. We have just released our seasonal Celebration Spice wine, that we recommend serving slightly warm with an orange slice and cinnamon stick to unlock some of the amazing aromas within the wine. With the holiday season fast approaching, consider treating your fellow wine lover to one of our wine clubs.  Details can be found on our website: www.stallerestate.com.  We also have a ton of new gift items in the retail store.  Come out on your shopping day and have a wine tasting as you browse around.

Watch for an email with a link to our new website.  We are so excited to share our new website with you!!
