Easter Dusting

Last weekend we hosted an adult Easter Egg hunt or should I say Dusting. Wendy and Kaitlyn did the hiding for the Easter Bunny (who was too busy hiding eggs for the kiddos). They hid a total of 72 eggs in the tasting, sun room and gazebo, all these eggs were hid indoors. Each plastic egg was filled with one chocolate and a special prize; 10% off, 20% off, free glass of wine, free wine flights, wine picnic platters, and private wine tastings. Our Grand prize was a private wine tasting for 20 people ($300 value).Grand Prize Egg Winner!

I entered the winery to inspect their hiding work, expecting to find at least a dozen in a few minutes. I spend a solid 30 minutes and only found 3 egg, no that is not a typo, 3 eggs in 30 minutes. Good thing I did not have to do the finding for this hunt!!

We had a great response from all of you, as I mentioned it was not easy but everyone worked very hard, this is where the dusting comes in. There was not a nook, cranny, corner left undisturbed or not dusted. I did not expect that you would all have such fun. It was like everyone had a chance to be a kid again. Some crawled on their bellies to look under the sofa in the sun room, others lied on their backs to look under the tables, and lots of jumping for those that were not quite tall enough to see in those high spots. I noticed that everyone had had a smile 🙂 of accomplishment when they presented their prize.

We were very happy that everyone had a great time and we will surely plan the Easter Egg Hunt/Dusting for 2015!!
